Concert with Mt. Prospect Community Band July 2012

It was a dark and stormy actually it was hot and humid but shade and a breeze made it quite comfortable for the Arlingtones, the Mt. Prospect Communty Band, and a large and enthusiastic Community Park audience.
The Arlingtones assembled and waiting quietly for their cue to go on.
Notice the nervous tension in these veteran performers as they await their entrance.
Assembled on stage, we await our director. A chorus without a director is sort of like being all dressed up and having no place to go.
Our director, Roger Turek, takes command and...
... we get down to business. "Hello Mary Lou" and "Alexander's Ragtime Band"  were part of our song list for the evening.

Roger directs the crowd who responded with gusto and sang such oldies as "Daisy, Daisy", "In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree", etc. The songs were 100 years old but the crowd knew them. A good tune lasts forever.
"Alexander's Ragtime Band" was our closer for the night.
The audience seemed pleased and we had a great time. Even Herb was smiling as we came off stage.
